Yesterday, the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) board of governors announced that Union Pacific Railroad Vice President of Engineering Joseph Santamaria had been elected AREMA governor for the 2014-17 term.
Santamaria began his railroad career in 1977 with Conrail, where he held various positions for the next 13 years.
