Pandrol, a rail fastener and aluminothermic welding manufacturer, has won the Innovation Award in the large company category from the European Railway Clusters Initiative. Pandrol received the award the SIFER 2025 expo in Lille, France. J.F. Brennan Co. received three awards at the 2025 World Dredging Conference and Expo, held June 23-27 by the Western Dredging Association in San Diego. J.F. Brennan provides bridge construction and environmental services to every Class I and multiple short lines and regionals, company officials said in an press release. The company was recognized with a dredging Safety Excellence Award and two Environmental Excellence Awards for three separate projects.

Verisk Analytics's CargoNet program recorded 884 supply chain theft events across the United States and Canada in second-quarter 2025, a 13% increase over the same period in 2024 and a 10% increase from Q1 2025. The estimated total loss value exceeded $128 million, when applying average loss values to incidents without specific values reported. Metal and food and beverage products both were highly targeted commodity groups. "The strategic targeting of specific commodities reveals the business-like approach of modern cargo theft operations," said Keith Lewis, vice president of operations for Verisk CargoNet in a press release. "These aren't opportunistic crimes – they're calculated operations targeting goods with the highest illicit-market value and easiest resale potential."
