New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie late last week appointed Richard Hammer acting commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). Christie also announced in a press release his plans to formally nominate Hammer to succeed Jamie Fox, who announced his resignation last month.
