FTA unveils website for TOD projects

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has launched a new website that provides information and ideas to help transportation planners and local government officials advance transit-oriented development (TOD) projects.

TODresources.org features a research database, funding and financing information,  and opportunities for TOD professionals to connect with one another.

The website is part of FTA's new TOD technical assistance initiative aimed at helping U.S. communities grow their economies, achieve social equity and improve quality of life, agency officials said in a press release.

In October 2015, the FTA tapped nonprofit organization Smart Growth America to administer the assistance.
