OmniTRAX Inc. has added longtime Class I executive Ed Harris to its board.Harris currently is a senior adviser at Global Infrastructure Partner, an independent infrastructure fund manager, and a board member for track construction and maintenance firm A & B Rail Services.From 2010 to 2011, he was executive vice president of operations and chief operating officer for Canadian Pacific. Prior to that, Harris held top management positions at CN for many years, including EVP of operations, chief transportation officer and VP of the Midwest Division. Earlier in his career, he worked his way up from yard clerk to VP of operations at Illinois Central Railroad."Ed's experience and network of industry relationships adds greatly to the strength of our board. We now have access to most of the key executives at leading companies across the country, and will use these connections to expand our business," said OmniTRAX Chairman Brad Skinner in a press release.OmniTRAX owns and operates 17 short lines, and provides transportation management, port, intermodal and industrial switching services.
