Pacer Stacktrain appoints Bailey EVP of business development, transportation purchasing

On March 26, Pacer Stacktrain named Adriene Bailey executive vice president of business development and transportation purchasing. She most recently served as EVP of transportation purchasing and equipment.
With more than 14 years' experience in transportation-related planning and operations, Bailey joined Pacer Stacktrain parent Pacer International in 2000 as vice president for planning.
She previously served CSX Transportation as assistant VP for service planning and operations research, and Southern Pacific Railroad as VP of service planning and design. Bailey also served as a consultant to the transportation and logistics industry through Mercer Management Consulting and the firm's predecessor, Temple, Barker & Sloan Inc.
Meanwhile, Pacer Stacktrain VP of Marketing David Hoppens assumed customer service and equipment duties, and the company promoted VP of Domestic Peter Mettra, and AVP Planning and Administration J.R. Thornton to VP of domestic, and VP of planning and administration, respectively. Mettra, Thornton, and VP of Equipment and Logistics Doug Matthew will serve on Pacer Stacktrain's senior staff.
