Union Pacific President Whited to move to adviser role

Union Pacific Railroad President Beth Whited will transition from her role as the company's first female president to that of company adviser effective July 1, the railroad announced today.
Whited will remain an adviser until early 2026, according to a UP press release.
Whited has been with UP for 37 years, having been named president in August 2023. Her work spanned strategy, law, corporate relations, government affairs, marketing and sales, sustainability, finance, investor relations and human resources, UP officials said in a press release.
“After 37 incredible years with Union Pacific, I am immensely proud and forever changed,” Whited said. “The company has provided me with incredible opportunities to learn and grow, and many colleagues have become lifelong friends. It's been an honor to be a part of this remarkable team, and I am looking forward to new adventures ahead.”
The press release did not provide information about who will assume Whited's duties as president.
