NS tweaks Web site to furnish more customer-friendly features

On June 6, Norfolk Southern Corp. launched its redesigned Web site at www.nscorp.com — the first phase of an easier-to-do-business-with Internet plan.
The revamped site includes home-page links to each NS business unit; improved navigation and new content in the "intermodal" section; and enhanced existing features, such as accessNS, a suite of applications designed to provide customers immediate access to real-time shipment data from planning to final delivery.
The Class I also plans to redesign the site to enable customers to directly launch e-business applications from a customized NS home page.
