The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) recently implemented the first phase of a business transformation program designed to automate the authority’s business processes, and improve productivity and financial systems.
Under the first phase, MARTA implemented financials, maintenance and materials management systems. To begin in January 2007 and be complete in January 2008, the program’s second phase calls for implementing human resource and payroll functions.
MARTA contracted IBM as systems integrator and obtained software from Maximus Inc., Oracle Corp. and Bentley Systems.
