CMC Railroad secures funds for Gulf Inland Logistics Park expansion

CMC Railroad LLC, the rail service partner for Gulf Inland Logistics Park in Dayton, Texas, has closed on a $87.9 million credit facility with Bank of Texas. The facility refinances CMC Railroad's existing debt and provides additional financial capacity to expand rail infrastructure, storage capacity and operations at the park.

CMC's rail switching, rail-car storage and related services are critical components of the park's rail-served industrial platform, park officials said in a press release. The new credit facility allows CMC to proceed with the planned addition of about 1,100 new rail-car storage spaces, bringing the total to 2,000. The financing also provides CMC with the flexibility to invest in track infrastructure, transload facilities and other improvements.

Located about 40 miles northeast of Houston, the Gulf Inland Logistics Park formally opened on on Oct. 10, 2025, following an initial development phase during which it secured seven anchor tenants. As the park enters the second phase of development, continued infrastructure and rail investments will help support future tenant growth and further strengthen the site's position as a key logistics and industrial hub, park officials said.

"The Bank is committed to supporting rail infrastructure development in Houston and is thrilled with the work CMC is doing to provide essential rail services to the region," said Bank of Texas Relationship Manager George Sarvadi. "This financing will help position the company for continued growth while supporting critical transportation infrastructure that serves Gulf Inland Logistics Park, its tenants and the broader Houston industrial market."

Gulf Inland Logistics Park offers access to Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF Railway processing yards.
