LACMTA to update public on Westside subway extension
advertisement
Next month, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) will conduct another round of community meetings on its Westside Extension Transit Corridor Study.
Agency staff will provide an update on alternatives analysis process for the proposed project, which calls for extending the subway system from the existing Hollywood/Highland and Wilshire/Western stations to the Pacific Ocean.
LACMTA previously held public meetings in October 2007, and January, February and May 2008. Based on feedback, the agency has identified alternatives to be recommended for further study through an Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement.
