The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) commuter railroad logged a 6.1% increase in ridership in 2025 over the prior year.

At 60.7 million total passengers, 2025 ridership reflects 74% of pre-pandemic 2019 ridership. It is also the first year since 2019 that ridership has surpassed 60 million passengers, PANYNJ officials said in a press release. Average weekday ridership in 2025 was 198,401 passengers, a 6.6% increase from 2024.

Meanwhile, the PANYNJ seaport moved 5,955,798 loaded 20-foot-equivalent units in 2025, a 2.8% increase over 2024. CSX and Norfolk Southern Railway provide daily intermodal service and connect to the port's on-dock ExpressRail service.
