advertisement
Bombardier Transportation and consortium partner Elin EBG Traction recently obtained a $293 million order for 60 additional Bombardier Talent electrical multiple units from the Austrian Federal Railways (OBB).
The railway signed an initial contract with the consortium for 51 trains in 2001 and exercised an option for 60 more in 2003. Under the latest order, OBB will expand its fleet of Bombardier Talent trains to 171.
To be used for regional commuter-rail service in Austria, the four-car trains will be delivered between January 2007 and mid-2008.
