STV, Artheon and Amtrak officials recently reopened Line 2 to rail traffic following comprehensive rehabilitation work. Line 2 is the first completed tunnel tube of the larger East River Tunnel Rehabilitation Project and restores a critical rail connection between Manhattan and Queens in New York City for Amtrak, MTA Long Island Rail Road and New Jersey Transit trains. Rail service continued in the other East River tunnels during renovation work on Line 2, STV officials said in a press release. STV and Artheon in a joint venture are providing construction management services for the East River Tunnel project.

Logic, a provider of autonomous, data-driven logistics solutions, recently launched an intelligent transloading solution powered by the Logic Digital Twin Operating System. Designed for rail-to-road operations, the Logic Pallet system integrates autonomous mobility with real-time digital twin visualization, Logic officials said in a press release. Logic's Digital Twin OS creates a live, interactive model of the transloading environment and consistently monitors and synchronizes data from Logic Pallets in operation to provide managers with real-time visibility into inventory position, weight distribution and task process. The Logic Pallet represents the next step toward a fully autonomous logistics network, company officials said. "By combining AI-driven robotics with digital twin technology, Logic is enabling rail operators, freight terminals and 3PLs to achieve new levels of uptime, precision and scalability in an increasingly interconnected supply chain," they added.
