RailAmerica Inc. recently appointed Harold Tynes president of Atlas Railroad Construction Co., which RailAmerica acquired in July 2010.

Tynes joined RailAmerica in July 2007 as vice president and controller, and later became VP-financial services and treasurer. Prior to joining RailAmerica, he was chief financial officer for QualServ Corp.; corporate controller for Great Lakes Transportation L.L.C.; and VP-finance for Precision Castparts Corp.

In addition, RailAmerica — an owner of 40 U.S and Canadian regionals and short lines — named Jeffrey Sciullo assistant vice president-transit for Atlas, which provides railroad engineering, construction, maintenance and repair services to regionals and short lines, as well as public transit agencies and industrial customers. Most recently senior VP for construction firm Dick Corp., Sciullo has more than 27 years of construction industry experience.
