Valley Metro makes staff changes

Valley Metro has named a new director and assistant director of capital development, and a chief auditor, the Phoenix transit agency announced yesterday.

Henry Ikwut-Ukwa has joined Valley Metro as capital development director. Most recently, he led the implementation of a $4.8 billion transit and transportation program as transportation director for Atlanta BeltLine Inc., Valley Metro officials said in a press release.

Additionally, Valley Metro promoted Jennifer Pyne to assistant director of capital development. She will aid Ikwut-Ukwa in overseeing the agency’s corridor planning and construction activities.

Meanwhile, Sebrina Beckstrom became Valley Metro’s chief auditor at the end of January. She most recently served the Arizona Department of Economic Security as deputy inspector general-chief audit executive.
