KCSR promotes Grafton, Stottlemyre to VP posts

Kansas City Southern Railway Co. (KCSR) has promoted Suzanne Grafton from assistant vice president to vice president of accounting and T. Scot Stottlemyre, from assistant vice president of capital accounting to vice president of international tax. Both will report to Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer Mary Stadler.

A certified public accountant (CPA), Grafton will lead the financial reporting and capital accounting teams. She joined KCSR in 2006 as director of external reporting and was promoted to AVP a year later. Grafton previously served Deloitte & Touche L.L.P. in various capacities for eight years.

Also a CPA, Stottlemyre succeeds James Byrd, who retired. Stottlemyre joined KCSR in 2006 as a tax manager and was promoted to tax director a year later. He has spent the past two years as AVP of capital accounting. Stottlemyre previously held various tax-area posts at Sprint and PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P.

"Scot and Suzie have each consistently demonstrated strong leadership and effective execution, and I am confident that they will continue to work with their teams to deliver outstanding results in their new roles," said Stadler in a press release.
