The Indiana Rail Road Co. (INRD) recently promoted Josh Ward to vice president of finance and accounting.
His promotion took effect Dec. 1. In his new role, Ward is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial analysis and reporting, INRD officials said in a news release.
Ward succeeds Mike Engel, who will retire at the end of March 2024 after more than 33 years with the company. Ward has been with INRD for 20 years and has held multiple positions of increasing responsibility.
Ward's "extensive financial and accounting experience and in-depth understanding of INRD make him an ideal fit to excel in the role. His promotion highlights again the positive impact of our succession planning efforts on developing new company leadership,” said INRD President and CEO Dewayne Swindall.
