MARTA, Georgia DOT team up to address state transportation needs

Board members from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will partner to explore ways they can work together to meet the state's growing transportation needs.
During their first joint meeting last week, board members discussed the need to find effective means of transporting people and freight through the Atlanta region and the state. Staff members from both GDOT and MARTA now will work to create a partnership framework between the two boards.
