Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will hold a public meeting Oct. 11 to solicit input on the final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Lynx Blue Line light-rail extension.
The 9.4-mile extension would be built from Center City Charlotte to the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and include 11 stations. Completing the final EIS is a vital step for projects competing for federal funding from the Federal Transit Administration, CATS officials said in a prepared statement.
The agency will accept public comments on the final EIS until Oct. 27.
