New PAC created to support Georgia industries

The newly formed Georgia Coastal Trade PAC (GCT-PAC) is urging Georgia’s maritime, logistics, transportation, manufacturing and trade industries to assume a greater involvement in the public-policy process, including legislative matters and local elections.

The GCT-PAC is a non-partisan coalition dedicated to strengthening Georgia’s role in international trade, logistics, maritime commerce and economic development, PAC officials said in a press release. 

GCT-PAC works to support candidates and public officials who understand the importance of Georgia’s ports, transportation infrastructure, workforce and business climate to the state’s continued economic success, they added. 

“Georgia’s trade economy is too important for the people who understand it best to sit on the sidelines,” said Matt Campbell, GCT-PAC board chair. “The reality is simple: if our industry is not engaged, someone else will shape the conversation."
