Snyder succeeds Daly as head of CSXT's network operations

CSX Transportation recently named James Snyder vice president of network operations to succeed Pat Daly, who last month was appointed to the newly created position of assistant VP-southern region. Reporting to Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer Tony Ingram, Snyder will be responsible for optimizing rail operations, and overseeing locomotive management and train dispatching teams.

Snyder most recently served as AVP of car management. Since joining CSXT’s predecessor railroads in 1975, he has held various operations and merchandise segment positions. The Class I named AVP-Customer Service Steve Potter to succeed Snyder.

CSXT also announced VP of Engineering and Mechanical Standards and Quality Rick Kadick retired Oct. 31. VP of Engineering Don Bagley and VP of Mechanical Rich Regan have assumed Kadick’s responsibilities.
