Amtrak is beginning improvement and repair projects at the Latrobe and Greensburg stations located in western Pennsylvania.
Amtrak's Pennsylvanian route serves both stations, which date to the early 1900s. Final preparations for construction are underway at Latrobe Station; construction work will begin later in 2025. The planned upgrades include:
Meanwhile, construction on the Greensburg Station is anticipated to begin in 2026, Amtrak officials said. The project team is in the design approval process with host railroad Norfolk Southern Railway, the Federal Railroad Administration, the State Historic Preservation Officers and the station building owner.
