Savi Technology offers updated software, RFID tags targeting container safety

Savi Technology Inc. recently began marketing updated software and new high-performance radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags designed to improve supply-chain visibility and security.

The products include: Savi SmartChain® Client Tools workstation or laptop software designed to enable users to process RFID tag data; SmartChain Site Manager, software offering real-time data collection and filtering, and network alarm and alert management features; and SaviTag ST-654, a data-rich RFID tag used to track containers.

The software and tags feature data-capture capabilities designed to provide real-time tracking of an item, a container or transport vehicle throughout a shipment.

"The products … address growing expectations for real-time visibility of products and their transport conveyances most anywhere in the supply chain, whether in transit, in a yard or warehouse," said Savi Technology Senior Vice President-Public Sector David Stephens in a prepared statement.
