Thoroughbred Direct Intermodal Services recently leased 300 53-foot railroad-ready trailers from the Vermont Railway Co. The acquisition provides the intermodal logistics company its first-ever trailer fleet.
“Acquiring and managing a trailer fleet is the logical progression in Thoroughbred Direct's evolution -- and we hope to triple the size of our trailer fleet by the end of 2005,” said General Manager Joe Dryburgh in a prepared statement.
A Norfolk Southern Corp. subsidiary, Thoroughbred Direct provides wholesale and retail intermodal logistics services throughout North America.
