Kiewit Austin Partnership (KAP), a joint venture between Kiewit Building Group Inc. and Austin Commercial, has been selected as the design-build contractor for a light-rail operations and maintenance facility for a planned light-rail system in Austin, Texas. Local government corporation Austin Transit Partnership (ATP) is overseeing the planning, design, construction and implementation of the system, which is slated for opening in 2033. KAP will lead the design and construction of the facility while the light-rail vehicles will be stored, serviced and dispatched, ATP officials said in a press release. The facility will also serve as a workspace for operators, maintenance crews and support staff.

STV Inc. has relocated its Washington, D.C., office to the 10th floor of 1100 Vermont Ave. NW, expanding the company's presence in the U.S. Capitol. The Washington team serves clients across the city and the states of Virginia and Maryland, STV officials said in a press release. STV has contributed to various projects in the area, including Amtrak's Ivy City Yard modernization, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's Dulles Corridor Metrorail and the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority's Long Bridge project.
