Quality Track Equipment (QTE) has branched off from Delta Railroad Services as an independent entity under the leadership of former Delta CEO and Chair Linda Laurello.
QTE was established by Delta in 1998 to meet growing demand for re-manufactured railroad maintenance-of-way equipment. The Laurello family was at the helm of Delta for four generations; Laurello was named CEO of Delta in 2024. Italy-based Salcef Group acquired Delta in 2020 and in March 2025 appointed Fernando Fantozzi CEO.
Now, the Laurello family has purchased QTE from Salcef, which is led by CEO Valeriano Salciccia. The independent QTE specializes in MOW machinery manufacturing and remanufacturing, parts and technical support services. It operates out of a 90,000-square-foot facility in Austinburg, Ohio. The company is fully operational and will spend the next two years focusing on business development and custom orders, QTE officials said in a press release.
"This is a full-circle moment that gives us an opportunity to service the railroad industry and continue the legacy our family started. On behalf of the Laurello family, we would like to thank the Salciccia family for the opportunity to purchase Quality Track Equipment,” said third-generation railroader Larry Laurello, owner of QTE and past Delta CEO.
