CN has hired Matthew Hammond to serve as vice president of engineering. He will lead CN's engineering team and oversee railway infrastructure across CN's network, company officials announced on LinkedIn. He spent the past 20 years with BNSF Railway Co., most recently as assistant vice president and chief engineer for BNSF's South Region, according to Hammond's LinkedIn page.
Delta Railroad Services announced Linda Laurello has transitioned from her role of CEO, which she has held since 2024, to chairman. Fernando Fantozzi has been appointed CEO. In her new role, Laurello will focus on long-term strategy, corporate and external affairs and institutional partnerships, said according to a Delta press release. She will work with leadership from Delta's holding company, Italy-based Salcef Group. Fantozzi previously served as Delta's chief operating officer. As CEO, he will now be responsible for the Delta's performance and safety, and daily decision-making across all business units, Delta officials said. "This governance transition reflects Delta’s continued evolution as part of the Salcef Group and supports the company’s long-term growth in the North American market," Laurello said.
TransmetriQ, a Railinc brand, has named Bruce Harbridge to head of the company's managed services division. The managed services team leverages TransmetricQ's rail management platform and Railinc's data network to help rail shippers and fleet operators reduce costs and improve efficiency, according to a TransmetriQ press release. Harbridge has nearly two decades of experience in rail software, day-to-day operations and asset management. He began his career as a tank-car welder and moved into facility management before transitioning into data-driven roles at Wells Fargo, RAS Data Services and Railinc.
