OmniTRAX Inc. has completed full restoration of a business class PV-79-E passenger rail car to serve as the flagship engagement car for hosting company, customers and partner events.

The restored National Steel Car parlor rail car was built in 1959. It is now fully Amtrak network compliant and will serve as a mobile venue across the OmniTRAX 32-location network of rail operations servince private companies, industrial parks and ports in the United States, company officials said in a press release.

Dubbed the Savannah Sunrise, the rail car commemorates the company's 40th year of providing rail service.

"America’s freight lines have powered our nation’s growth for decades,” said OmniTRAX CEO Colby Tanner. "As we commemorate 40 years of service to communities across the country, it’s fitting to celebrate this milestone in our nation’s capital at the annual event that has shaped decades of public policy for the rail industry."

The rail car recently completed an inaugural journey to Washington, D.C., where on March 4 it will be showcased during Railroad Day on Capitol Hill, an annual event in which hundreds of freight-rail industry representatives meet with members of Congress and their staff to discuss legislation and public policy.
