Union Pacific Railroad’s third-party logistics (3PL) unit has tabbed AMSER Logistics to sell transportation products in the burgeoning Mexican market.
In an agreement announced July 2, AMSER will serve as Union Pacific Distribution Services’ (UPDS) exclusive agent south of the U.S.-Mexican border. UPDS offers door-to-door intermodal and door-to-door carload services, and outsourced rail logistics and truck brokerage operations. Also a 3PL, AMSER specializes in transportation and warehousing services.
"The strengths offered by our two companies put us in an excellent position to offer value-added services to a broader range of customers," said UPDS General Manager Gary Di Masi in a prepared statement.
