On Feb. 14, Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) plans to hold a hearing to gather public comments on a proposal to modify and reconfigure the light-rail system in preparation for extension openings.

In October, RT plans to open extensions to Folsom and the Sacramento Valley Station.

Currently, one light-rail line operates between the Watt I/80 and Sunrise stations, and another, between the downtown (7th & K streets) and Meadowview stations.

Beginning June 19, the agency will operate trains along the Folsom extension between the St. Rose of Lima Park and Sunrise stations, and Watt I/90 and Meadowview stations.
