Last month, the Las Vegas Monorail Co. carried more than 1 million passengers — its highest ridership mark since the system opened in August 2004.

Each day, the monorail carried an average of 32,343 passengers and collected an average of $95,257 in revenue, a 46 percent and 50 percent increase, respectively, compared with February’s daily averages.

Running four miles along the east side of the Las Vegas strip, the monorail travels at top speeds of 50 mph and includes stops at the Sahara, MGM Grand, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Convention Center, Harrah’s/Imperial Palace, Flamingo/Caesars Palace and Paris/Bally’s.
