Atlanta Plane Train workers ratify union contract

Alstom technicians who operate and maintain the Plane Train at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport have ratified a five-year collective bargaining agreement with the Transportation Communications Union/IAM (TCU/IAM), union officials announced in a press release.

The Alstom employees operate and maintain the Plane Train, the automated people-mover system that transports about 250,000 passengers daily between terminals at the Atlanta airport.

The agreement covers an 18% wage increase with retroactive pay to April 2026, followed by 3% annual wage increases, five paid sick days with an annual cash-out option for unused leave, a premium for lead technicians and five paid holidays, union officials said. Additionally, the agreement includes seniority rights, a grievance and arbitration procedure and just cause protections. The contract covers 90 workers.

Alstom employees voted to join TCU/IAM in August 2025.
