advertisement
Next month, Norfolk Southern Railway plans to roll out new and improved intermodal services to Florida and open a new terminal in the Sunshine State.
Beginning Feb. 9, NS will reduce transit time by one day for existing service from Chicago to Jacksonville and Miami, Fla. And on Feb. 16, the Class I will open a new intermodal terminal in Titusville, Fla.
The central Florida facility will provide easier access to the Orlando and Tampa markets via the Bee-Line Expressway. Initial service will be offered from Chicago, Los Angeles and Atlanta to Titusville. NS eventually will add services for the terminal, the railroad said.
