Metro Transit to add more than 1,200 parking spaces for light-rail passengers
advertisement
Earlier this week, Minneapolis’ Metro Transit opened up additional parking spots for Hiawatha light-rail passengers.
The agency opened one 172-space and one 67-space park-and-ride lot near Lake Street Station, and added 400 spaces at Fort Snelling Station.
Early next month, a 600-space park-and-ride lot will open in Bloomington at the 28th Avenue Station — one of five new stations opening Dec. 4 as part of the Hiawatha extension to the airport, Bloomington and Mall of America.
