MARTA works out kinks in real-time train information system

After a several-months-long hiatus, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) has re-launched a real-time train information system at each of its 38 rail stations.
The system tracks and relays train movement and location. The information is subsequently broadcast to electronic signs at stations.
Initially implemented last spring, the system experienced software problems and was temporarily suspended in fall. The authority since has made the necessary changes.
