The VACIS system is designed to produce high-resolution digital images of a container's contents and can scan up to 150 containers per hour. The system supports DHS’ Secure Freight Initiative.
SAIC will manufacture the systems at its plant near San Diego, and deliver units through the rest of 2007 and throughout 2008.
