TYLin has promoted Steven Landolt to sector manager for the firm's rail and transit business in the southwest region of the United States. Since joining TYLin more than a decade ago as an assistant transportation engineer, Landolt has taken on leadership roles in major transit programs, TYLin officials said in a press release. His experience spans rail infrastructure, maintenance and storage facilities and key interfaces with roads, utilities and drainage systems. In his new role, Landolt will lead project delivery and client engagement for the region, which is facing increased transit demand.

The Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA) announced the reelection of Los Angeles Councilman Tim McOsker as chair for the 2026-2027 term. It will be his third time in the role. Long Beach Councilwoman Suely Saro will serve as vice chair. McOsker represents Los Angeles City Council District 15, which encompasses the communities of Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, San Pedro, Watts and Wilmington, ACTA officials said in a press release. His region also contains the Port of Los Angeles. First elected to the city council in 2022, McOsker is an attorney and previously served as CEO of nonprofit AltaSea. ACTA is an intergovernmental agency under authority of the cities of Los Angeles and Long Beach. It oversees the Alameda Corridor, the 20-mile freight-rail corridor connecting the San Pedro Bay Ports Complex to the rail network near downtown Los Angeles.
