Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) recently appointed Carrollton, Texas, business owner Randall Chrisman board chairman to succeed Lynn Flint Shaw, who resigned on Jan. 30.

Elected vice chairman in 2007, Chrisman has represented the cities of Carrollton and Irving on DART’s board since 2002.

Since 1989, he has served as president of The Chrisman Co., a commercial real estate brokerage firm. Prior to joining DART’s board, he was a member of the Carrollton Planning and Zoning Commission.

Upon his appointment as chairman, Chrisman named Robert Strauss vice chairman; John Danish, secretary; and Pamela Dunlop Gates, assistant secretary. The officers will serve in their capacities through FY2008, which ends in September.
