Coming soon: Electronic shipment monitoring at CSXI terminals

In mid-June, CSX Intermodal plans to begin implementing a new Web-based tool designed to enable customers to manage their shipments at CSXI terminals.
Accessible through the ShipCSX Web site or via www.csx.com, Web Premise Authorization initially will be available for all traffic (excluding certain railroad-controlled trailers) at CSXI's Jacksonville, Fla., terminal. CSXI plans to roll out the tool to other terminals later this year.
Web Premise Authorization would enable customers to monitor a specific shipment or all shipments at a destination terminal, and estimate charges for a future pick-up date, or dispute and resolve charges.
