CSXI to boot up Web-based shipment-management system

advertisement

On June 17, CSX Intermodal plans to launch Web Premise Authorization, an Internet-based system designed to enable customers to manage their shipments at CSXI terminals.

Accessible to register users through the ShipCSX Web site (via www.csx.com), Web Premise Authorization initially will be available for all traffic subject to terminal-storage charges at CSXI's Jacksonville, Fla., terminal. CSXI plans to phase in the system at other terminals throughout the year.

Web Premise Authorization would enable customers to monitor a specific shipment or all shipments at a destination terminal, estimate charges for a future pick-up date, and dispute and resolve charges.

To register as a ShipCSX user, call 800-334-4256.
