CSXI introduces online price-quoting tool, voice-enabled shipment tracing system

CSX Intermodal (CSXI) recently unveiled a Web-based tool that provides freight brokers with price quotes 24/7 and transaction assistance for door-to-door spot market shipments.
CSX QuickQuote enables users to receive a price quote in less than two seconds after choosing a shipment’s lane, date and time. The tool also can be used to reserve equipment, tender loads, track shipments and customize personal settings. A "Favorite Lanes" feature provides daily price updates via email on choice lanes.
Freight brokers rely on door-to-door transportation solutions and need to turn around bids quickly to win business in the spot market, said CSXI President James Hertwig in a prepared statement.
CSXI also recently began implementing a voice-enabled Fast Trac system that enables users to navigate a computerized shipment tracing system by phone via hands-free voice commands.
Beginning April 22, customers can call 800-542-2754, dial option 1 and begin tracking equipment using either voice activation or their telephone’s keypad.
