Arizona land development to include inland intermodal port
advertisement
Rolling Hills Ranches recently announced plans to include an intermodal port in a land development project in Navajo, Ariz.
Tentatively named the "Port of Navajo," the inland facility would include a Foreign Trade Zone, enabling shipments to be transported duty-free into the interior of the United States.
The land to be developed includes an existing rail spur that’s operated by the Salt River Project coal-fired plant and connects to BNSF Railway Co.’s lines. The site also is near Interstate 40.
Rolling Hills Ranches is a developed ranch community in northern Arizona.
