CSX-served wood product facility opens in Virginia

On April 7, Annandale Millwork & Allied Systems Corp. and Frogale Lumber Supply opened a new $11.5 million wood product production facility in Newport News, Virginia. 

To be served by CSX, the facility will manufacture roof and floor trusses, prefabricated structural wall panels, and custom and stock millwork, including interior and exterior doors, for residential and commercial construction projects. 

“Located alongside [our] Peninsula Subdivision, the site will soon add a new rail spur to connect directly to our network — helping strengthen their supply chain capabilities,” CSX officials said in a recent social media post. 

Annandale Millwork & Allied Systems plans to maintain its headquarters and existing operations in Winchester, Virginia, and in New Jersey to serve builders in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington, D.C, and West Virginia.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, city of Newport News and Newport News Economic Development Authority supported the project.
