California High Speed Rail Authority's Kopp attains 'infrastructure champion' honor

Infrastructure project identification and development firm CG/LA Infrastructure L.L.C. recently named California High Speed Rail Authority Chairman Quentin Kopp a "Champion of Infrastructure."

Kopp led the authority's campaign to issue $10 billion in bonds to help finance the initial segment of a statewide high-speed rail system, which was approved by California voters in November. The line will be the nation's first fully dedicated high-speed rail system designed to reach speeds up to 220 mph.

Kopp was recognized as one of five Global Forum Champions earlier this month at the second annual Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum held in Washington, D.C.

"These infrastructure champions are the men and women who are going to build us out of our current difficulties — the people with the vision, the drive, the imagination and the persistence to get things done around the world," said CG/LA Infrastructure President and Chief Executive Officer Norman Anderson at the event, according to a press release.
