TNW Corp.'s CEO Paul Treangen will retire at the end of 2026, following nearly 40 years of service in the short line industry. Effective Jan. 1, 2027, current Chief Operating Officer Bobby Franklin will assume the role of CEO.
Treangen will serve as advisory director following his retirement, company officials said in a press release. TNW is a privately held transportation company; its subsidiaries operate short lines and logistics facilities across Texas.
Under Treangen's leadership, TNW's railroads and logistics operations have grown "tremendously" while serving the communities they operate in, TNW owners Robert and Burk Murchison said in a joint statement.
"[Franklin]’s industry experience, commitment to safety and operational excellence helped influence our decision to promote him to the CEO position. We believe TNW has never been in a stronger, more dynamic or exciting position to grow into the future than it is today," they added.
