RailWorks appoints Smith to head transit-related business development

RailWorks Corp. recently named Kean Smith vice president of business development. He will be responsible for New York transit, national transit and track accounts, including operating subsidiaries L.K. Comstock & Co. Inc. and Pacific Northern Rail Contractors Inc.
Smith most recently served as manager of business development at Mass. Electric Construction Co. He previously held various positions with Union Switch & Signal Inc., North American Transit, General Railway Signal Corp. and Canadian Pacific Railway.
Founded in 1998, RailWorks supplies various products, and provides construction and maintenance services to the freight- and passenger-rail industries.
