STV Inc. has tapped Justin Ramirez to serve as the firm's vice president of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He will lead the identification and execution of strategic acquisitions with long-term enterprise value, STV officials said in a press release. His appointment comes five months after STV announced its 2026-2028 strategic plan, which outlines plans for expansion across high-growth markets. Ramirez most recently led M&A at a consultancy and has previously advised professional service firms on succession planning, governance and transaction strategy.
RailWorks Corp. has announced the return of Richard Carney as executive vice president for track branch, a role in which he will oversee the company's North American regional track operations. Carney brings 35 years of rail-industry experience. He originally joined RailWorks in 2000 as a project manager and played a key role in expanding and strengthening the company's track operations, RailWorks officials said in a press release. During his tenure, Carney progressed through a series of leadership positions to help drive growth, safety and talent development. "Over the course of his career, he has helped shape and grow our Track Branch operations while earning the trust and respect of employees and customers alike," said Jim Sabin, president and CEO of RailWorks.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) board this week will approve final candidates for the president and CEO position. The role has been held on an interim basis by David Leininger since May 4, following the April 4 termination of former President and CEO Nadine Lee after unsuccessful discussions on a separation agreement. DART will also hold an informal final candidate meet and greet for stakeholders and the public on July 11, the agency announced in a social media post.
