R. J. Corman Railroad Group has named Alin Campian executive vice president and chief financial officer. Campian assumed the role of CFO in October 2024 and has "consistently demonstrated exceptional financial acumen and strategic leadership" R. J. Corman officials said in a press release. In his new role as EVP, he will continue to oversee all financial operations and support growth initiatives. Campian joined R. J. Corman in 2020. "We are confident that with Alin at the helm of our financial strategies, R. J. Corman Railroad Group will continue to grow as an industry leader and deliver exceptional value to our customers," said Justin Broyles, president and CEO of R. J. Corman.

Canton Development Corp. has promoted Tyler Horner to the role of president and CEO of the corporation and its subsidiaries, Canton Railroad Co. and Freestate Logistics Services. His appointment follows the departure of former President and CEO Paul Barnes, who, after reorganizing Canton Development Corp. and raising its performance level, is moving on to other opportunities, company officials said in a press release. Canton Railroad serves the Port of Baltimore and provides switching between CSX and Norfolk Southern Railway.

North American Rail Solutions has hired Steve Schmotzer as the chief development officer. Schmotzer succeeds David Goretski, who will remain in a senior advisory capacity with the company. Schmotzer has more than 25 years of leadership experience in transportation, manufacturing and industrial services, North American Rail Solutions officials said in a press release. Prior to joining the company, Schmotzer served as vice president of sales for the northeast, Mid-Atlantic and eastern Canada regions at The Greenbrier Cos., as well as leadership roles at Kenworth Trucks and Mack Trucks.
