The Broe Group has named Tammy Middleton chief legal officer and general counsel for rail and real estate affiliates at OmniTRAX Inc. and Broe Real Estate Group. Middleton will start her new duties on Jan. 19. Most recently, she was associate general counsel at BNSF Railway, where she spent nearly 15 years. During her tenure there, she earned progressively expanded legal responsibility, culminating as associate general counsel. “Given the dynamic state of the rail industry, Tammy’s extensive legal knowledge is perfectly suited to counsel our continued rail and real estate growth," said OmniTRAX CEO Colby Tanner in a press release.

Bohr Electronics has promoted Dillon Steen to engineering manager. In his new role, Steen will lead engineering operations, guide product development initiatives and collaborate across manufacturing, quality and customer support teams. Since joining Bohr in January 2022, he's held positions including product manager, business development manager for freight locomotives and senior project manager. Steen also played a pivotal role during Bohr’s March 2024 acquisition of Central Railway Manufacturing, overseeing the integration of CRM’s product line into Bohr’s engineering, manufacturing and quality systems, Bohr officials said in a press release.

Orange County Transportation Authority's board in California has selected Jamey Federico to serve as chair. He succeeds outgoing Chair Doug Chaffee, who remains on the board. Federico has served on the OCTA board since January 2023. As chair, he will help guide OCTA’s efforts to expand transportation choices, reduce congestion and continue delivering projects that keep Orange County moving efficiently and safely, OCTA officials said in a press release. Federico’s selection comes as OCTA continues to work on major freeway, transit, rail and active transportation investments.

STV Inc. has promoted Suresh Karre, Derek Overstreet and Michael Randolph to vice president. They serve the Virginia and Washington, D.C., region, where the firm operates four offices, according to an STV press release. Karre is a transportation engineering director with more than 20 years of experience leading complex infrastructure projects. He specializes in multimodal transportation with an emphasis on traffic operations and safety, including projects that integrate bus rapid transit, light rail, bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Overstreet is a senior project manager and structural engineer in STV’s Richmond, Virginia office, with over 20 years of experience delivering rail, transit and highway transportation projects in the southeastern United States. Randolph has more than 20 years of experience managing transit, highway and rail projects across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
